Mounting

Mounting the Wilson V-pickup.

Each Wilson pickup is delivered with detailed and easy-to-follow mounting instructions. It is, however, recommended that a skilled violin maker mount the pickup.

A drill bit and reamer tool is enclosed with each pickup set, to make a precise hole diameter for the pickups. A bench-drillingmachine is recommended to drill the holes in the bridge to obtain maximum precision. Pickup units might otherwise sit loose in the holes and therefore not having prober contact to provide an optimal amplification.

Special mounting tools are included with the V1 and V2 pickups. The hole positions are optional but our recommendations are specified with each set. By rotating the pickups with the supplied adjusting key, output level and balance between the strings can be slightly adjusted.
